The AI Webpage Preflight Checklist

Use this before an AI-generated page ships. The job is not to prove the page is good. The job is to catch intent, entity, structure, and internal-link gaps while the page is still cheap to fix.

01

Search intent

  • The target keyword and region are explicit.
  • The page answers the dominant intent in the first screen.
  • The page does not mix informational, transactional, and navigational intent without a reason.
02

Page type

  • The page type matches what the SERP rewards.
  • The format is not chosen only because the AI draft looked polished.
  • Comparison, category, product, docs, and blog formats are not treated as interchangeable.
03

Entity coverage

  • High-importance missing entities are identified.
  • Entities are added naturally inside useful sentences.
  • The page avoids stuffing terms that do not fit the user's decision.
04

Structure

  • H1 and H2s reflect the query's major intent clusters.
  • The page includes the decision points competing pages consistently cover.
  • Sections are removed when they make the page broader but not better.
05

Internal links

  • Relevant source pages are identified.
  • Anchor text is specific enough to support the target page.
  • The page is not published as an isolated URL.
06

Local SERP fit

  • The target country or region is set before scanning.
  • Region-specific terminology is checked.
  • A US result is not assumed to represent every market.
07

Agent edit safety

  • The agent is asked for minimal useful edits first.
  • The agent explains why each major edit maps to SERP evidence.
  • The final page remains readable to a human editor.
08

Rescan decision

  • The page is rescanned after edits.
  • The final recommendation is pass, review, or fail.
  • Publication is blocked when the page targets the wrong intent.
