Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 5, 2026
1. Introduction
On-Page ("we", "us", or "our") operates the On-Page API platform at api.on-page.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed). If you sign in with a social provider (Google, GitHub, Microsoft), we receive your profile information from that provider.
Usage and API Data
We log API requests including timestamps, endpoints called, and response metadata. We process the content you submit for analysis (URLs, page text, keywords) solely to provide results.
Billing Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We retain transaction records including amounts, dates, and the last four digits of your card.
Technical Data
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, user agent strings, and request timing for security and performance monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing and improving the Service
- Processing your API requests and returning analysis results
- Managing your account, billing, and credits
- Sending transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts)
- Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
- Generating aggregate, anonymized usage statistics
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. API request logs are retained for 90 days. Content submitted for analysis (page text, URLs) is processed in real time and not stored beyond the duration of the request, except for cached results which are retained for up to 24 hours to improve performance.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Stripe — for payment processing
- Infrastructure providers — for hosting and computing (servers are located in North America and Europe)
- Email service providers — for transactional emails (Resend)
- Law enforcement — if required by law, court order, or governmental request
6. Content You Submit for Analysis
When you submit URLs or text for SEO analysis, our system fetches and processes the publicly accessible content. We do not use content you submit to train machine learning models without your explicit opt-in consent. Analysis results are associated with your account for the purpose of delivering the Service.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. We may use basic analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, scoped API keys, and access controls. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@on-page.ai.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
